Local Farmers’ Markets
Bringing the farm – and more – to your table.
Much of what makes the Warwick Valley unique are the farms, orchards, wineries, cideries, breweries, distilleries, and eateries that dot the beautiful landscape. The black dirt farming region is home to large and small farms that provide produce locally, as well as to city green markets and wholesale supermarket accounts. It is famous for the onions that grow here and for many other vegetables.
Driving through farmland, you’ll see cattle grazing on green fields and chickens wandering around, and you might also spot alpaca farms or an occasional emu. Many family-owned farms sell pasture-raised meats and naturally-raised chickens and eggs in their farm stores. The abundance of food grown and raised in the area makes it perfect for the farm-to-table movement, which has expanded to include farm-to-bottle craft distilleries and breweries. Warwick is also home to artisans who make soaps, candles, and skincare products. Others make cheeses, specialty breads, and pastries.
When the people who grow, raise, and make our food and drink are joined by those who consume their products, a community experience known as the farmers’ market is created. Warwick, Florida, and Greenwood Lake, New York and are known for their distinctive farmers’ markets. Each of these markets has its own “vibe,” so visit them all and support our local farms and businesses!
